Last week, a group of my favorite bloggers and I sat down in the heart of downtown Phoenix for a sneak peak at the summer menu at District American Kitchen and Wine Bar. It was quite possibly the most amazing cuisine experience I’ve ever had.

The staff was warm, friendly, and funny – my absolute favorite combination.

Every single dish that came out was my new favorite. I said, “yum”, at least ten million times. The combination of flavors and textures – wow. The atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic. They feature local Arizona artists. It was like getting to experience an art show. We have some truly talented people here in Arizona!

They work closely with local farmers and District American Kitchen and Wine Bar also has an rooftop herb garden, adding to the truly fresh experience.

We had the pleasure of meeting Executive Pastry Chef Winnona Herr and Chef de Cuisine John Marchetti. Their passion for their creations was evident as they spoke to us about each dish and answered our questions about flavors and inspiration.

I do hope that you make it out there this summer! Remember, at District American Kitchen and Wine Bar it’s “$22 Just For You,” where all dinner entrées are priced at $22 or below. I am planning a date night for Brian soon so that he can taste everything!
