I recently read a quote that November is to photographers as April is to accountants. It is so true. My weekends (very thankfully) are filled running from one photo shoot to the next. After I was finished tonight, I stopped by Safeway and bought a beautiful magazine and a chocolate bar. It was time for a little rest.

My original plan was to buy a magazine, chocolate, and head out to the desert to rest and take some pictures, but I lost my light. I was pretty bummed about it at first, but my sweet husband put the kids to bed to that I could just have some quiet time at home. That doesn’t happen very often with a house full of three wonderful kids, so I was very thankful.

The chocolate absolutely hit the spot. I mean really… is there anything better than a King Size Hershey’s Milk Chocolate with Almonds? That is my go to candy bar at the theater and my go to candy bar for any me time. I picked up Sunset® Magazine. It had a list of amazing destination spots, so you can bet my mind was racing up and down the coast of California, trying to figure out where the family should escape to next! This is the first time I’ve picked up the magazine, and you can bet that it won’t be the last! It even gave little advice about restaurants to eat at and shops to stop by.
