This is my friend, Wendy!
She writes a beautiful blog called Around my Family Table with amazing (and beautiful) recipes. She recently learned she has a wheat, egg, and severe dairy allergy. She chronicles her journey with that as well.
She is the also the founder and director of the Blended Conference and we’ve worked together for years. It can be a rare thing to find someone that you really work well with, and well, we just click. We get it done. She works tirelessly to create a blogging conference full of speakers and advice and fun, and she always knocks it out of the park!
She has written her first (of many, I’m sure!) book, Smoke It Like a Pit Master!
I had the privilege of photographing her and her family for the book. This would be a perfect Christmas gift for the cook in your family! Every recipe I’ve tried by her is amazing!
Seeing my photos in print is such an honor – thank you, Wendy! I can now say “I’m a published photographer!” Whoop!

My step dad is my favorite grill master. We go over every Sunday for family dinner, but it’s always one of two things. Smoked ribs, or BBQ chicken. So I would LOVE to gift this to him so we can switch it up a little bit!

A famous chef whom I’m intrigued by is Victor Arguinzoniz; I was in awe when I read a Food & Wine article about him making smoked ice cream! As for someone whom I know personally, it would be my husband. My parents gave us a smoker-grill combo last year, and he’s slowly been learning how to use it. One surprising dish? Smoked potato salad!
