When Gussy put this prompt up, I honestly thought about skipping this week.
I don’t talk about my typical day very much here on the blog.
I am one of “those” moms. I am a working mom.
I am a Sales Operations Manager, specializing in RFPs and contracts. Sounds fancy, huh?
I would love to stay at home and bake and paint and read and clean.
Yes, I would love to stay at home with my lovelies, but that is not what God has planned for me right now.
Yes, my kids are 8 and 11 and I still struggle with that ‘working mom guilt’.

The first thing you should know about me is that I am a Christian.
I love Jesus with my entire heart.
I hope to live every single day to His glory.

When I walk into my office each morning, I am greeted by two inspiration boards.
At work, people know me. What you see is what you get.
I am not great about separating personal life from work, so they get all of me {like it or not}.
I am just me.
They know all about my kids.
They know all about my hobbies {they REALLY don’t understand what is the deal with the blog, but it’s cool… because you guys get me!}
I make them look at my photos and listen to my stories about how clumsy I am.
When it is time to go, I race home.
I love spending time cooking dinner and playing whatever game is their current favorite.
{Right now ~ Clue and Uno are the games of choice}

I live in the desert, which means it is HOT.
That picture was taken at 8pm at night last month.
It has only gotten worse 🙂

Our new dog, Murphy, has been with us for a few months.
I adore him.
He is a Malti-Poo (we think).
We spend a lot of our evenings saying: “Murphy? Go Potty?” and “Murphy. No speak.”

I put my babies to bed about 8ish.
They read for 30 minutes, then lights out.
Sweet Baby J and I catch up on all her plans and dreams.
Nate the Great still insists that I scratch his back and sing him a song.
I head downstairs and catch up on emails, blogland, etsy, twitter and pinterest.
Then, Mr. B and I watch one of our shows on Netflix. {We are currently catching up on The Office}.
Thank you for reading while I share a typical day in the life of Katie.
Hugs to you!
Kate / Katie / Mom / Mommy / Momma

I Love hearing about your day! You sound like a very busy person, but you enjoy every minute of it. That’s so inspiring. I love you Katie & give my love to Mr. B & the kids!!
You are not alone in the “Mommy Guilt” department. I hang out there often. 🙂 The important thing is that we are doing what God wants us to do for our families right now. Plus, we are clearly members of the “Super Hero Working Mommy Club”! It makes us appreciate those moments we get with our family just that much more. 🙂 Love you!
Oh sweets, mama’s will have guilt working or not, don’t you worry! It looks like your doing an amazing job!
All of this is is so true. Even stay at home mom’s face guilt. Guilt haunts everyone if you let it and it likes to creep up on you.
I always find that God’s plan aren’t the same as ours. That’s for sure. 🙂 You sound like a good Momma. 🙂 my kids are similar in age and I am all about the in bed by 8 rule!
