Have I ever told you about Cosanti?

060a

Paolo Soleri was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. He is Italian and spent 1 1/2 years at Taliesin East and West. He was commissioned to build a ceramics factory in Italy and became passionate about ceramics.

He settled here in Scottsdale and created the Cosanti Foundation.

He created the philosophy of ‘Arcology’ – architecture coherent with ecology.

(I interrupt this post to make sure you know ~ I am not really this smart… google is amazing!).

The Foundation’s major contribution is a prototype town called ‘Arcosanti’ in Cordez Junction in Arizona. The pictures are of of Cosanti, his home here in Scottsdale.
