He just wants to help…

Sometimes it seems harder to let them help than to just push through.

Sometimes it seems like I just don’t have time to slow down and let them be. They just want to learn and spend time with us.

Brian is so good at this. He had Nate organize his sockets (it’s ok if I am telling you the wrong tool…. that isn’t exactly the point of the story)… while he was fixing something or the other.

I can learn so much from them. He was perfectly happy “helping daddy” and so proud of his accomplishment.

Learn this lesson with me… make up something for them to do / constructive or not… let them feel like they are contributing. It’s ok. They just want to help.

  1. Kate, what a perfect post! Creating something for the kids to do as a means of helping is a great thing. They learn, we learn and everyone is happy. Thank you for sharing this little reminder.
