Nate’s religious education teacher taught him so much.

She taught him the Act of Contrition.

She taught him to be respectful in the Sanctuary.

She taught him to kneel before the Altar.

But she taught me the most amazing lesson…

Sometimes, how others see your baby (or not-so-baby) reminds you of something…

He has a personality of his own.

He has strengths and virtues that come from God ~ not from you.

Most Patient? definately not from me.

Thank you, God, for my baby and all that You are making him.

  1. Kate, this is so beautiful. Definitely a reminder that while we want our kids to be like us, G-D wants them to be the unique and wonderful miracle HE created for us to parent.
I can feel you beaming as you wrote this!

  2. Oh my gosh… Nate is so cute! I can’t wait to get my hands on Julia and Nate this week! Most Patient… he definitely didn’t get that from his Aunt Leslie either. I am going to venture out there and say maybe from his daddy or his Aunt Theresa.
