Yesterday, Mary Alice started waving. It is pretty adorable. She cracks herself up waving at everyone until they wave back.

A few weeks ago, she would just raise her hand. It was like she was saying ‘I See You’. It wasn’t quite a wave, just a sweet acknowledgement that she could see you.

My sweet friend, Nancy, took this picture. I will cherish it always.

Nancy is one of those photographers who can just see. She sees the light. She can see the exact shot she wants to take. She can take a front yard, a little pile of leaves, and a quilt and make the most beautiful image.

Most importantly, she sees you. She gets behind the lens and can capture you – just as you are. And when you look at the picture, you feel exactly like you did the moment the picture was taken.
