This is my best friend’s beautiful baby.

Look at those eyes, that hair, those lips…

On the long drive to Arizona (almost two years ago), Jen called and told me that her baby girl had been born. I remember laughing and squealing with excitement with my mom, who was in the car with the kids and I for that stretch.

Here we were ~ hundreds of miles away ~ going through major life changes at the same time.

That is how things go for us. We lean on each other. (Well ~ I lean on her mostly!)

I am smitten by Katie. She is precious and kind. She was sweet and beautiful.

She reminds me of her mom…
