Disclosure: I am a Friends of Pfister blogger and was sent this faucet to review. The opinions expressed here are my own.
Last year, granite on our kitchen counter started to crumble right around the front of the sink area. You may remember that our home was a short sale, so there is no warranty for any issues. We took it as it was. I was so worried that I would have to replace the entire counter. One of our friends suggested replacing the sink with a farmhouse sink, cutting out the crumbling granite, and sealing the new edges so that we could preserve the counter.
I’d been dreaming of a farmhouse sink forever, so seeing one installed in my kitchen was surreal! We were so thrilled with the solution. The faucet no longer matched the sink or style at all, but I was so relieved about the granite no longer crumbling, that this was a good temporary solution. I could live with a faucet that didn’t match.
Then, Pfister reached out. Would I like to review a kitchen faucet? Um, do angels sing?! Yes, please!
I chose the Stainless Steel Selia, hoping it would be a good style match.
When it arrived, I climbed under the sink thinking I could just go for it! We realized we didn’t have the right tools, so I called my dad. He said, “sometimes, repairs having to do with water are best left to the professionals.” Great advice, dad, as always.
We had our favorite plumbing company install it. Ted, our plumber, took less than 45 minutes. He commented about the quality and ease of installation, and I was very glad that I didn’t try to install it with my four year old and ten month old climbing on me.
Every time I’ve walked into the kitchen today, I’ve stood there and smiled. One little change can make such a fun difference!
I spend so much time at the sink. The pull down sprayer feature is perfect for cleaning the sink, washing fruit, rinsing dishes, or bath-time. There is a one touch button to switch the steady stream to spray. It also came with an easy to clean aerator, which is perfect for living in the Valley of the Sun. Our faucets are notorious for mineral build-up. Pro-Tip: keep the key near the sink.
We all know the true test is how it works for the precious everyday moments, and I’d say it is just perfect.
