In my family, there is one very wonderful sister-in-law who makes everyone feel so special on their birthday. She goes out of her way to make lists, find the perfect birthday card and gift, and have it there on time.

Her thoughtfulness makes everyone smile. You would think it would be easy for us to remember to repay the kindness she shows on her birthday, right? Well, her birthday is December 23rd. Between traveling and wrapping and time zone changes and hotels, her birthday sometimes ends up being a quick dinner before everyone heads out to make sure their last minute shopping is covered.

This year, I want to send her a card each week in December leading up to her birthday. I want her to feel celebrated all month! I headed out to my local Walmart and found a great selection of Hallmark birthday cards.

Ok- now this is cute! It comes with an inflatable guitar! #cbias #birthdaysmiles #shop

At first, I had some very beautiful and sweet cards in my hand and then I noticed these. The top one comes with an inflatable guitar! Do you know how perfect that is for her?! I can’t wait for her to get this one! She is going to crack up.

This past year, I loaded all family birthdays into a word calendar and printed it out. This hangs on our refrigerator door. Each month, I take the word calendar down and transfer the birthdays to my monthly planner. I take twenty minutes at the beginning of each month to make sure I have cards ready to mail and presents ready to send – especially for my nephews.
