{Julia as the Lead Fairy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream}
Our school.
I can’t even explain how amazing it is. We belong to a small, wonderful Catholic school named Ville de Marie Academy.
This school.
It is filled with children who love God and serve Him with their entire hearts.
They learn together, play together, and pray for one another. They speak words of kindness and respect and obedience.
{Nate as the lion in The Mechanicals – the play within A Midsummers Night’s Dream}
I watch as other parents encourage them in their talents and cherish them in their vocation as son and daughter.
I watch other students set examples of playing with younger siblings, respecting their parents, and working hard at their vocation as student.
Yes, it is as dreamy and wonderful as it sounds.
Nate wasn’t even going to try out for the play, but our sweet director, Allie, coaxed him into it. He had an absolute blast being with his friends and made the comment that he already can’t wait for the next play. (Thank you, Allie!)
Julia wrote the music to the Fairy Lullabies. It is absolutely surreal to hear her.
As I sat in the audience, next to my dad, I couldn’t believe the young lady I saw in front of me. I had those flashbacks that you are sure that are just made up marketing material in Sears commercials. I saw her as eleven months old in a little purple dress being picked up into her daddy’s arms for her first Easter. I saw her as three years old nervously standing on the edge of a diving board just waiting to be caught by her daddy. I saw as four years old her tapping away, center stage, to “Baby Face”.
I can’t wait to see what God does with her talents!
