The end of the school year is always full of fun activities, award ceremonies, end of year concerts, and plays. This year, I sent the video camera with my family and stayed home with Mary Alice. Most of these started late in the evening, so taking a newborn to these events just wasn’t practical.

One night, I had forgotten to charge the video camera. My son and daughter were singing in their end of year church choir concert. They had worked on these songs all year and I hated missing it in person. When they arrived home and told me that the video camera wasn’t charged, I was heartbroken until I learned that they had used their phones to record the concert. I was so thankful that my family thought to record the concert on their phones!

We were able to upload the videos to our computer, save them on YouTube, and watch them on our television. It was like I was there in person and I was so grateful for their quick thinking – and phones with enough storage to record video!
