Stories of the Arizona sunsets, were some of the first stories that greeted us when we moved here four years ago.

I was sure that those who told me of their beauty just had not seen a Texas sunset.

But now, when monsoon season comes, I see what they are talking about. I still love my Texas sunsets, sitting on a porch swing with a glass of sweet tea. But, these are just different – brilliant and quick.

The sky turned an amazing purple and orange and then just disappeared into darkness.

These sunsets provide beauty to the treacherous heat that we endure at this time of year. They make me want to get outside each night after the storm, just to soak in the color.
