Noticing Goodness – The Series

Hello dear ones. Earlier this year, I spoke at a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group and shared a message about Noticing Goodness. I’ve felt something tugging at my heart to share it here on this space, too.

So many things pull at our attention every day.

I’m sure there are studies that give all sorts of percentages and statistics, but I’ve only got anecdotal evidence for you. When I’ve gone through a hard time and I shift my attitude to noticing the goodness around me, things get better.

Am I happier? Not always.

Am I more hopeful? Absolutely.

Does the situation suddenly become a good situation? Not in the way you would think. The magic wand that is waved is the light and hope of Christ. I’m reminded that I’m not alone and there is much, much beauty in this world.

“It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.” Laura Ingalls Wilder

Next week, I’ll be diving in and sharing what I said. I’d love for you to join me here and on Instagram with the #noticinggoodness hashtag.

I want us to practice, really practice noticing the goodness that is all around us, so that we can truly be bright and salty.
