We stayed at the Best Western in Payson, AZ.

You know when you stay in hotels and you aren’t expecting much?

You are just shaving an hour or so drive time for your holiday?

Well, this was one of those times… Let me say. I was impressed.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

Their breakfast was in another building and they had waffles.

When you have a 10 year old and a 7 year old, waffles are like magic.

If you are ever babysitting my children and you need them to finish all laundry, empty the dishwasher and not turn the TV on until 6:30 pm ~ use waffles. It is a currency they understand.

While waiting for the mandatory potty break prior to heading back up to Woods Canyon Lake the next day, Brian wandered down the hall, the opposite direction of the breakfast room… this is not something my not-a-risk-taker personality would ever do.

Go the wrong way?

What if there was a meeting down there?

What if there was a wedding happening? Ok, it was 6:30am… but still…

He hollered for me to come look and I timidly walked down the hallway and look what he found!

It was like someone accidentally shipped the set of It’s A Small World to Arizona and decided to leave it there.
