My Kids - Post Champions For Kids

From the Champions for Kids website:

No matter whether you live in a city, in the suburbs, or in a rural area, there are likely more instances of childhood hunger in your community than you realize. Although many people typically think of hunger as a predominantly urban issue, Feeding America, a national network of food banks, estimates that 48% of all their clients reside in rural or suburban areas. Learn more about the unique need in your community, and take part in the Post Bowls of Hope project. Once you do your project, share your story with us here!

Julia and Nate have a special heart for giving to other children.

In our community, we have a school for homeless and underprivileged children.

Children First Academy in Tempe, Arizona offers transportation, food, clothing and social and medical care for children in the area.

When I heard of the opportunity to partner with Post for a SIMPLE service project, I knew it would be a perfect fit! I love working with brands that have a heart for the community.

I learned about Children First Academy from a dear friend at work, Erlinda. She has a passion for service and helping others.

For this service project, I will be working with Erlinda to do a food drive for Children First Academy. Reading their mission reminded me that hunger does not stop when school is out for the summer.

Tonight I headed to Walmart to purchase my boxes for the “Buy 2, Give 1” Challenge and do my weekly grocery shopping. You can read about my shopping trip here.

Thank you, Post for this wonderful motivation for our community!

I can’t wait to see how much food we give!

Why don’t YOU join us in fighting childhood hunger?

Post has the Buy 2 Give 1 campaign going on right now.
