Professional Blogging – New Media Professional Association

by | Oct 30, 2014 | Reviews

Blogging is a new profession, relatively speaking. It is constantly changing and rapidly growing. Do you ever wonder how professionalism and industry standards and expectations are being set in this fast paced profession?

I did. I would notice that some bloggers were outstanding in the way they treated others, did not use copy-written materials, and gave credit for ideas and inspiration. Then, I would notice other times that my photos were published without permission or entire blog posts were copied without any credit or acknowledgement.

The first group I’ve seen that discuses the ethics and professional aspects of blogging was Type-A. Have you met Kelby, the founder? You should. She’s inspiring, driven, and gives her advice and guidance tirelessly.

You may also remember one of the other founder’s from my about page – Sara Hawkins. She has helped me tackle the copyright issues of blogging many times.

I am honored to be a founding member of this group. If you are interested in joining, please click the graphic below: (Disclosure: this is an affiliate link):

From the about page: The New Media Professional Association is brought to you by Type-A Parent™, the first community for parents who blog and the world’s top conferences for mom and dad bloggers. The goal of the association is to support, advance and promote the new media professional.

I do hope you join! See you there!
