Thank you, Alissa, for having me to over to share my bookshelf makeover with you (and motivating me to document the process).
Sweet Baby J loves her books.
I love that she loves books.
The kids are away at Grandma Camp, so I decided to tackle a bookshelf project.
I am not terribly crafty and I wasn’t exactly sure how I wanted to do everything, so I figured this would be the best time to go for it!

Before she left, we chose a bookshelf out of the garage and had her pick out a color of paint that she liked…

(She is so much bolder than I am… I LOVE that!)
She also chose some felt flowers from my secret stash that she wanted to hot glue onto the bookshelf.
A few nights ago, when I was missing her terribly, I sat on the floor with my dr. pepper and my glue gun.

I used felt flowers from Creative Paper Trail. Her work is so beautiful.
I glued and glued and smiled and made Mr. B come over and admire my work.
After he was done admiring I begged him to take the bookshelf upstairs.
In true Kate fashion, I got really excited and started getting carried away pulling things out of her room. {Don’t worry! I didn’t throw anything away except all of the gummy fruit wrappers I found}
Well, the bookshelf project became and full out room redo.

Mr. B’s sisters painted the table many years ago.
It has become her nightstand and a very sweet, daily reminder of Aunt Leslie, Aunt Laura and Aunt Theresa.

Her room feels so much more open now and I hope she loves it!
I kinda want to print out a ‘Move that Bus’ sign and tape it on the door. {The kids love watching Extreme Home Makeover with Mr. B}
This was so easy. One bookshelf from the garage, two cans of spray paint, one hot glue gun, felt flowers and dr. pepper!
Trust me, if I can do this ~ you can, too!
The walls are the next thing to tackle!
Have a wonderful day!
Thank you, Alissa for inviting me over!

|Meticulously choosing your resort can result in a better visitors expertise. Do not just consider the price – think of what facilities you would like, and precisely what the area surrounding the hotel is similar to. Don’t just view your hotel like a stopping off stage or like a location the place you will just sleep at night.
