Do you ever look at your kids and just think “my goodness, they are beautiful” ?

Riley turned 9 last week. He opted for a birthday party at the skate park so that his entire class could be invited and they could bring their siblings if they wanted. Goodness that made my includer heart happy.

We spent the morning at the grocery store picking out a ridiculous amount of potato chips (in what I thought were the most amazingly terrible) flavors. Dill pickle, fiery something, habanero something something… like I said, terrible. But the smile on his face when I just rolled with it told me I was doing something right.

We ate way too many cupcakes and partied until the sun went down.

Riley, we love you so much. Happy birthday. May this year be the best yet!
