Dearest Sebastian, you are two! You are just absolutely amazing. I cannot imagine our family without you.

You are so kind and compassionate. When someone is upset or hurt, you go sit next to them and pat their back and give them a hug. It is so incredibly endearing to watch.

You follow your big brothers around and just want to do everything they do.

You love playing with Mary Alice. You two could play cars and blocks for hours.

You are fascinated by planes and birds. Cars make you incredibly happy. You line them up and move them all down the row. Then, you carefully move them all again to a new spot and start over. You are starting to talk and I’m pretty sure ‘Nate’ is your favorite word.

We had a small family celebration tonight.

Since you are #5, I’ve figured out a few tricks. I let you open presents all day long, instead of bombarding you with all of them at once. You loved going to the table and picking out a gift to open. And you loved having the time to really play with whatever it was you received. Your aunts and uncles and grandparents sent you cars and boats and books and clothes. You are so blessed.

Tia came over and brought you your very own cake. You licked the cake until the frosting had disappeared. This is the correct way to eat a cake. People will tell you to eat cake with a fork someday, but I hope you always sneak a few licks whenever they aren’t looking.
