Six Years

Six years! And I’ve enjoyed every minute.

My absolute favorite part of this blog thing is you. I’ve made friends and connections through this blog that I would never have made. This blog got me through one of the toughest times – moving to a new state, away from family and everything familiar.

I’ve grown in my faith, in my writing, in my photography, and in my acceptance of who God created me to be.

I am Katie. I am the daughter of the sweetest parents any girl could ever ask for. I am the sister of a brother who is incredibly musically talented and who loves my family totally and completely. I married into a family who laughs, cooks, and loves so very well.

I am Kate. I am a photographer who adores capturing smiles and loving glances. I am a blogger who is blessed. I’ve been able to work from home as a photographer and blogger, giving me freedom and more time with my family.

I am Kathleen. I’m the Irish girl who loves music and singing and dancing. I am the friend who you can trust and count on.

I’ve put together a fun basket of goodies from some of my favorite people and places! Yes, it’s a surprise and I’m sure you’ll love it!

I would love to see all your favorites! I have a friend who could really use a pick me up. My SIL and her family just moved to a new state away from “home” so she could use a surprise too. I’d want to keep it, but I would probably give it away.

It depends… If I’m having a bad day when I get it I’ll probably keep some of it. Then I’ll give the rest to my friend who’s having a hard year. OK, she’ll probably get ALL of it.

I would use this as a gift for me. My husband is in AZ right now, our son and I are in New Zealand, waiting for our visa application to get sent to the US consulate here. It’s approved, just waiting on paperwork. It’s so tough, we’ve been apart for 6 months now, what we imagined would be 2-3 months at the most.

I think, if I won this, I’d get it sent to my husband and I’d have it as a welcome-to-our-new-home gift for me when we arrive. I love surprises, so it wouldn’t matter what it is! 🙂

Most likely I’d keep one or two things, but I’d likely divvy things up among friends who would also share in your joy. Besides, who doesn’t like to give gifts to friends and see their joy. Spreading happiness is my game!

I am turning 50 in October so it depends on what is in the basket. If the basket is has something that will help me feel a little better about turning 50 I might keep it. If the basket is filled will things that I think fit my Sister, Aunt or some else very special to me I would give it to them. It depends on how it makes me feel.
