Last week, our desert received a beautiful blanket of white snow. Now, I know this sounds silly to those of you up north, but you know that feeling when you see a cactus in person and you haven’t seen one in a very long time? Yup, it’s like that. We were giddy. People were pulling over everywhere just to take a picture of our normal shades of brown and beige covered by spectacular white.
By the time everyone got home from school, most of it had melted, but we found some in Fountain Hills. There was just enough for a good snowball fight and Sebastian’s first touch of snow.
Nate quickly won brother of the year award, by allowing the three youngers to team up against him.
It was perfection. Just enough to get our hands cold and our tummies hungry.
Little outings like this are what I live for. Sometimes I need to remember that. A random park with a little fun can make the whole world seem a lot brighter!
