I missed the birds.
I love the desert so much, but I missed sitting on the back porch and hearing birds all the time.
Spring brought a family of cardinals to the yard. They were so sweet and shy. They would wait for other birds to leave, then swoop in to eat while the other birds were away.
They didn’t use the bold color as I expected.
They were patient and humble. They knew there was plenty of food and they were willing to wait their turn – even let others go in front of them.
I will never tire of the lessons that nature continues to teach me.
Learn from the bold and beautiful cardinals today and let someone go in front of you!
