It’s amazing. I’m in that place where I would like more sleep, but I don’t want to miss a moment. I know that this will go by so quickly, like a dream.
This time around, I have my camera ready. I’m so thankful for the journey photography has taken me on. I do wish I had documented the early days of Julia and Nate better. Thankfully, we have been given a lot of pictures of Riley. I treasure those.
Riley has been telling everyone that he is a big brother now, because “She’s out now.” I love their perspective.
I’m so blessed to have my mom with us. I really don’t know what I would do without her. She makes sure my ice water and crackers are within hands reach. She makes sure that I am keeping up with my medicine. And she drives that big kids to school drop off in the mornings, so that I can rest.
The other night, I was taking a shower and heard the Beach Boys playing in the next room. I can remember Brian playing the Beach Boys CDs in college. I can remember holding his hand, not talking at all, and just listening to the music. I can remember my heart pounding so quickly just thinking about him holding my hand.
When he would sing along, I would melt. Brian has the most incredible voice you’ve ever heard. (it’s true).
I came out to find him introducing Mary Alice to their music. And then, my heart melted all over again.
So sweet! Mary Alice looks awfully snuggle-worthy. 🙂 I hope you’re slowly starting to feel a little better from the delivery. Love you, friend.
She is so precious! I can’t wait to meet her. And, I totally agree, Brian has the most amazing voice you’ll ever hear.
