Summertime, Swimming, and Sisters

This post was sponsored by SwimWays as part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Summer is in full swing here in the desert! That means a lot of time in the pool.

We’ve been using this baby float for Sebastian, very similar to what we used for Mary Alice. As we walked up to the pool, Mary Alice reminded Sebastian to sit down at the steps and wait for mommy. I was already carrying him in my arms, but I love how careful she is around the water.

Having a pool in the backyard brings a very heightened awareness about water safety. We have a pool gate, with a lock. The lock is one that you have to line up letters to spell a word to unlock. This way, just in case Mary Alice gets a little curious about the key and impatient waiting for me to get everyone ready, I know she can’t open it without me.

The SwimWays Baby Spring Float helps me relax and enjoy the pool with Sebastian. I can easily maneuver him around in the float, holding Mary Alice in my arms, and be confident that they are safe and I know the adjustable and removable canopy with 50+ UPF sun protection helps keep him safe from getting sunburned. I definitely feel like I can work with Mary Alice on floating and kicking more easily than if Sebastian was in my arms.

While Julia is still home, we are really enjoying having the extra hands at pool time. Sebastian is pretty sure she hung the moon. He watches every move she makes so carefully and tries to copy everything. It is such a fun stage and such an honor to sit back and watch my oldest and youngest interact. Moments like these when the day is ending and we are all just unwinding in the pool are my favorite. I’m sure that we all end up sleeping better that evening, with hearts full of thankfulness for each other.
