My mother and father drove up to Dallas the day after Christmas to spend some time with the kids and Brian’s family.

I am so blessed to have parents and in-laws that get along with one another.

When I asked Julia what she thought the grandmothers would like to do, she suggested a tea party.

We read poetry and ate yummy treats (and tried to ignore the boys and their screaming at football!)

Julia and Aunt Theresa made the cutest goody bags and we drank delicious warm tea.

I can’t believe my parents would drive up just for a couple of days. They are too good to me.

This year was Nate’s turn to pull the wishbone with Grandma.

Nate won. (I think Grandma may have thrown the match. Just sayin’.)

It was the perfect way to spend the day after Christmas.
