Supplies were supplied.

Teachers taught.

The kids kidded. (Couldn’t resist).

The first week went wonderfully!

The best advice I received was to set expectations. (Thanks, Bren!)

Last Friday evening, we sat down and reminded the kids of our after school routine:

  • Snack
  • Homework
  • Make Lunch for the next day

We also announced there would be no electronics (television, x-box, computer, etc.) until 6:30p.m. We are on day 4 and today was much more bearable. Translation:  they only asked one time to turn on the computer.

  • 7:30 prayers and snuggles
  • Read until 8:00
  • lights off at 8:00

I can happily say that by 8:30, the house was quiet. We are all settling back in to the school routine.

I hope you all have a very happy Friday and wonderful weekend! Mine is already booked with a family tree project and finding the perfect picture of Julia at age 5 or younger for her project. The joys of homework!
