The story of a crib

When we announced we were expecting Mary Alice, we made a video, to remember forever the miracle that God had granted.

My sweet friend, Betty, saw the video and called to ask me if we wanted their crib. It was such a thoughtful and generous gift.

Riley had just turned three and soon, he would have a little sister to play with. Two years later, we added a little brother to the mix. Our home and heart overflow with the joy of the impossible.

Last week, we were given a toddler bed for Sebastian. We hurried to dismantle the crib before bedtime and get everyone settled in. As Nate carried the crib downstairs, I caught my breath, realizing that once again, my house was without babies. This time, it is not in grief or disappointment but in miracles and hope fulfilled that we pass on the crib.

Would you keep the next owner of the crib in your prayers? Her life and her story is a miracle, too. It is a story of redemption and hope surrounded by unconditional love. Maybe someday she will let me share her story, but for now, your prayers would be much appreciated.

Sleep well, little one. You are already loved.
