The other day when I read PW’s hilariosity about her soccer coach I realized I had been terribly remiss in giving you soccer season updates this fall.

I know, you’ve been patiently waiting for them. Thank you for your patience.

Really, you are all rock stars.

This is Nate’s coach with his beautiful daughter Natalie.

I would adopt her in a heartbeat. She is precious. Seriously. I don’t say that about many seven years olds. Not that I don’t love seven year olds, but I have to retain as much sanity as I can for thirteen, right?

Definitions you must know to play on Coach Dana’s team:

A swift kick in the butt:  This is what you must give your child everyday after you tell them what a great kid they are. He has three amazing kids that are all great role models. You can’t argue with what works, so go ahead. Do the swift kick in the butt.

Unnecessary Jumping:  Coach Dana yells this at random intervals during each practice. I’m not sure what triggers this battle cry, but I can tell you that it results in smiles and listening ears.

Baba Ganoush:  You must run as quickly as you can to the nearest trash can and back. I think. Don’t check me on that one. I’m still working out the exact rules on this one.

Happy soccer everyone!
