A very cloudy, rainy Easter weekend greeted us Saturday morning…

I had searched all week for a local Easter Egg Hunt (that was free) and had no luck… but the kids really didn’t seem to mind. They were just glad to have daddy home for a weekend.
I awoke Sunday morning with a horrible cold. We (the church choir) practiced every day last week with the strings, the brass, each other ~ it was amazing. And there I was – with a 103 fever Sunday morning.
I was so upset. He rose. I did not 🙂
Brian, the amazing father that he is, tackled Easter morning and the parking madness by himself. (Of course I later realized that I don’t think that either of them wore their brand spankin’ new Easter outfits) – as my friend Maja says “That’s why babies have mommies…”. (One day, I am going to get her to write a blog ~ her stories are stinkin’ hilarious!… For example: “Do you give the kid with the stomach flu the red kool-aid? NO! That’s why babies have mommies”… Anyways…)
While the kids were at church I snuck around the house and hid the Easter Eggs. It was probably the most fun Easter I have ever had. Just the four of us. I never got out of my pj’s. My sweet husband took care of me all day (even tried to find a Starbucks that was open on Easter). And my kids had great attitudes about the very low key, pizza and a movie Easter celebration. I still feel like poo, but when you have a family like this.. it makes everything else ok.

That boundaries thing… a lifetime and still learning…
