Our first weekend, we headed up to Payson, Arizona.

We headed to Payson, Arizona to find weather cooler than 118 degrees.

Payson is in the heart of Rim country.

Have you ever driven the Mogollon Rim?

It’s really, really beautiful.

If you ever have the chance, you really should.

Woods Canyon Lake is stunning.

Mr. B was taking pictures of a funnel web.

About this time, I yelled ‘something’s breathing!’ and ran back onto the trail.

I’m sure there was something in the bushes.

Mr. B will thank me for saving his life later.

I’m sure he is just probably just getting over the shock, still. 🙂

Our first day we hiked the Shoofly Ruins and went to a small town jazz concert on the green.

As I layed in Mr. B’s arms, listening to clarinets, looking at the stars ~ I missed my babies in Texas, but my heart was full thinking of the special memories they were making with my family.

I thought about the strong roots we were building as a couple ~ to face the next years of our lives with kindness, love, gentleness and unity.

  1. Great photo of the web Mr B. That was totally cool. And I love the light filtering through the tree picture. There are so a\many things to see in the light. (ie feet, head of a yearling)Nate And miss Julia will probably find more. Good job mom.
