I put a frame around that picture just for you.

You’re welcome.

This might be a long post, I can feel it… so bear with me. I promise I’ll try to be my Tina Fey funniest? Ok?! K.

I knew I wanted to hang these up…

And I knew I wanted to have a cross wall again.

I’ve been missing Texas lately and I thought it might remind me…

I think I need to make this house ours. Does that make sense? It is time to add a little Katie to everything.

So, I had a plan.

I framed 8×10 copies of the pictures and carefully unwrapped all the crosses.

Crosses from Ireland, South Africa, Plano, Texas, my sister’s-in-law wedding…

So many good memories and sweet gifts from friends.

I began to lay out what I thought might look nice on the wall.

{See how I changed to black and white just to keep you interested? Oh yeah. I have skillz.}

Mr. B and his laser level came to my aid and hung everything.

Yes, I know the wall is soooo yellow.

That will be a project for another day.

I am really happy with how it turned out.

It reminds me of friends and family and other homes. It reminds me of my Aunt Margaret’s cross wall. It reminds me of unwrapping packages sent by Jen, my best friend. It reminds me of shopping with Kelly in Plano and surprise birthday presents. It reminds me of my father singing John Michael Talbot and John Denver songs and playing guitar while I sat at the foot of his bed making up harmonies.

Love and hugs to all!

Kate
